Is a watch appropriate with a formal gown?

I am a bridesmaid and wearing a black floor length gown to the wedding. I have a silver coloured Tommy Hilfiger watch with a square white face..link to a picture of the watch included. Is it dressy enough to wear to a formal event?

I feel that a watch with a formal gown should be a smaller, elegant watch. Not too big. I think this one (although it’s hard to really tell the size) might be a little too chunky to go with a formal dress. You want something delicate and not overpowering.
