1940s Style Wedding Gowns
1940s-style wedding dress?
My sister asked me to find her some examples of 1940s wedding dresses that she can take to the dressmaker. 1940s was postwar and very simple, and she wants just below the knee, off-white and short-sleeved or sleeveless. Possibly with buttons all the way down the front. Anyone have any pictures of this kind of thing?
I’ve tried on general Wedding Gown sites and can only find modern ones – so please supply links to the exact dress, if you have any.
Also if anyone has a picture of their mom or grandmother’s dress from the 40s, I’d love to see!
